Splito terms of service
Last updated 9 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Nidus Labs, the studio of Jatin, an independent developer in India, for using Splito. By using Splito you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.
What Splito is, and isn't
Splito is a record-keeper. It helps you note who paid for what and work out who owes whom.
- Splito doesn't move money. Paying someone back happens outside Splito, for example in your UPI app, and recording a payment in Splito doesn't send one.
- Balances are only as accurate as what's entered. Anyone in an expense, payment or group can add to it or change it, and every change is kept in its history. Splito isn't responsible for mistakes in what people enter, or for any debt between you and the people you share with.
- It isn't financial, tax or legal advice.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Use your own sign-in account and phone number, and keep your devices secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can stop using Splito and delete your account at any time.
Using Splito fairly
Don't use Splito to:
- harass, threaten or deceive anyone, including through names, notes or invitations;
- add people who haven't agreed to share expenses with you, or send invitations in bulk;
- break the law, or record anything you don't have the right to share;
- break, overload or get around the limits of the service, or access other people's data.
If someone does, their account may be limited, suspended or closed. Where it's reasonable, they'll be told why first.
What you record
What you enter stays yours. You let Nidus Labs store it and show it to the people you share it with, only to run Splito. Expenses and payments you shared are part of the other people's records too, so they stay with them if you delete your account. The privacy policy explains how it's handled.
The service
Splito is provided free, "as is" and "as available". It's built with care, but it may have bugs, be unavailable at times, or change. Features may be added or removed, and Splito may one day stop. If it does, you'll get notice and a way to export your records first.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, Nidus Labs isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by what people enter in Splito. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change takes effect. Using Splito after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, email support@niduslabs.dev first; most things can be sorted out that way.
